Flag Seminar


Previous advertised as 8:30pm, but changed to 8pm sharp.  The club will run another flag seminar on the 27th March in the Bus Bar, Skerries at 8:30pm.  Spread the word anyone who needs to come this and remember the first racing is Easter weekend the 7th April..... not much time ?  All welcome

Loughshinny Championship Rules 2010


Over the winter months this has been hotly debated with the current prize fund for this being so good, with €1,500 for first it is also something worth entering.  To enter all paid up (i.e. Loughshinny Members) Southern Centre licence holders should nominate their bike, once nominated points will be award for the result in championship races for the nominated bike from the date membership subscription is received.  We hope to keep championship positions updated after each event and publish results on the website.   See full rules below:- ...

Attention Riders - other rule changes


Mixed Class races Traditionally if a race was mixed class, the riders would practice and then be grided in separate groups for the class. In particular this happened in the 125cc and/or 250cc if 400cc bikes were included.   This was deemed dangerous and this year it has been agreed that grid positions for mix class races will be based on practice results and not class of machine. New Alcohol Rule - Details


Alcohol (ethanol) is a prohibited substance within Motorcycling competitions.  Detection will be carried out by analysis of breathe and/or blood.  The doping threshold (haematological values) is 0.10g/L (reading of 10). Procedure An alcohol testing official maybe appointed at any event run under Motorcycling Ireland/ Motorcycling Union of Ireland rules.
