Killalane - on the tellyThe BBC was on hand at the 2009 Country Crest Killalane Road Races to film the action and take a look ‘behind the scenes’. They have produced a programme which brings together action from a number of events over the year and which attempts to explain the magic of the sport and the drive which keeps our riders and legions of volunteer organisers coming back year after year to take part in the glorious sport of Real Road Racing.

The programme which includes a candid behind the scenes look at one of our Senior Club Riders Sean Leonard is scheduled to be aired on BBC NI on the 17th March 2010. This may change so please make sure to check local listings to confirm. The BBC Crew followed Sean during the 2009 Country Crest Killalane weekend and then visited him at home and work to get that in depth ‘behind the scenes’ view of one of our most popular riders. Sean was delighted to be the centre of attention and was reportedly seen signing autographs for fans later in the day whilst his ‘minder’ complete with dark sunglasses kept the crowds at bay!
